On March 22, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association held an online conference to disseminate and implement important resolutions and contents related to the association's work and the farmers' movement.
The conference was held online at 4,906 locations at the provincial, district, and grassroots levels, with 112,716 delegates, including officials and farmer association members, in attendance.
Attending the conference at the central headquarters was Comrade Luong Quoc Dan - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association.
Comrade Nguyen Quang Tung, member of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, presided over the meeting at the Nghe An branch. The conference was connected to 21 district, city, and town branches, 376 grassroots branches, with nearly 7,400 cadres and farmer members across the province participating.

At the conference, Comrade Luong Quoc Dan, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, thoroughly explained Resolution No. 46-NQ/TW of the Politburo on reforming and improving the quality of activities of the Vietnam Farmers' Association to meet the requirements of revolutionary tasks in the new period.

Accordingly, the Resolution sets out the overall goal: To innovate and improve the quality of the farmers' movement, build a strong Vietnam Farmers' Association; to effectively represent, motivate, and encourage farmers to raise their awareness, responsibility, and skills; to actively participate in the development of ecological agriculture, modern rural areas, and civilized farmers; to improve their material and spiritual lives, contributing to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland, and developing the country to become increasingly prosperous and happy.
The objectives of Resolution No. 46-NQ/TW of the Politburo are:
Each year, we strive to achieve the following specific goals:
- Recruit 200,000 or more new farmer members.
- 100% of full-time farmers' association officials at all levels and heads of farmers' association branches have received training in knowledge and professional skills.
- Provide vocational training and skills development for 250,000 or more farmer members and rural workers; provide advanced training to improve the skills of 50,000 outstanding farmers and skilled farmers in production and business at the district level or higher.
- Establish 5,000 new professional farmers' groups and associations, and 500 professional farmers' branches.
- Mobilize 450,000 or more farmer members to participate in cooperative groups and cooperatives; establish 1,000 new cooperative groups in the agricultural sector and 200 new agricultural cooperatives.
- 60% or more of registered farming households strive to achieve the title of excellent producers and business operators at all levels, of which 50% or more achieve it.
- 100% of farmer association members participate in health insurance; 50,000 or more farmer association members participate in voluntary social insurance.

The conference heard Comrade Bui Thi Thom - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association - present the Resolution of the 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Association (term 2023 - 2028).
At the conference, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association implemented the key work program of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, 8th term (2023-2028); the basic contents of the Charter of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, 8th term (amended and supplemented); and Decision 182/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Vietnam Farmers' Association participates in the development of collective economy in agriculture,"...
The conference helped officials of farmers' associations at all levels to grasp the spirit and content of the resolutions; to raise awareness, responsibility, initiative, and creativity among officials and members in bringing the resolutions to each member.

Following the conference, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association requested that all levels of the association organize study sessions, disseminate and direct local branches to study the Resolution according to the planned schedule.
All levels of the Farmers' Association need to closely adhere to the goals, tasks, and solutions of Resolution No. 46-NQ/TW; and the Resolution of the 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Association (2023-2028 term) to implement them seriously, synchronously, effectively, and in accordance with the actual conditions and situation in their localities; and to quickly put the Resolution into practice through specific movements and actions, building a civilized and comprehensively developed Vietnamese farmer.
This will create momentum to promote patriotic emulation movements among all levels of farmers' associations and their members, contributing to the successful achievement of the goals and tasks set forth in the Resolutions, and contributing to the development of the locality.
