Capacity building on new rural construction

On October 18, the Son La Provincial Association of the Elderly organized a training course to improve the capacity of the Association's officials on new rural construction.

Training conference to improve capacity for officials of the Association of the Elderly on new rural construction.

The training course was attended by 155 cultural officers from communes, wards and members of the Elderly Association. Here, the delegates were informed by the Department of Agriculture and Environment of the province and Son La College about the overview of the National Target Program on New Rural Development and the orientation for rural development in Vietnam for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030.

The training program focused on policies and strategies for sustainable agricultural, farmer and rural development; results of the province's new rural development program for the 2021-2025 period; goals, tasks and solutions for the 2026-2030 period. Delegates were also informed of the key tasks of the elderly at all levels in the emulation movement " Son La joins hands to build new rural areas" and learned about the Project "Elderly people participate in promoting digital transformation, green transformation, entrepreneurship and job creation".

Elderly members in communes and wards exchanged experiences in propaganda and mobilization in new rural construction.

Through the training course, it contributes to raising awareness and skills in propaganda work, mobilizing members to participate in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to promoting the role and prestige of the elderly in the community, joining hands to build a new countryside that is increasingly developed, civilized and sustainable.
