Along Highway 6, in the fields of Chieng Pac, Tong Lanh, Thom, Mon, and Phong Lang villages, from early morning, many farmers gathered to harvest rice, carry rice, the sound of threshing machines, threshing rice mixed with cheerful laughter, creating a vibrant harvest atmosphere. Mr. Lo Van Hai, Party Cell Secretary and Head of Mon village, said: This year's crop, the village planted 32.8 hectares of rice, mainly glutinous rice 87, sticky rice and glutinous rice 97. People in the village started harvesting from October 20, families exchanged labor with each other, with the support of threshing machines, helping the harvest progress to take place faster. Currently, people have almost finished harvesting the entire rice area, with a yield of over 40 quintals/ha. Immediately after harvesting, the village instructed people to prepare the land for the winter crop, to grow vegetables.

In the fields of Na Cang village, the rice harvest is also taking place urgently. To ensure the progress of the rice harvest, Mr. Lo Van Noi has mobilized more brothers and relatives to help his family harvest the rice. Mr. Noi said: My family planted 1,500 m² of rice, with the support of children and grandchildren, it is expected to finish harvesting early to continue preparing the land, planting winter crops, and increasing income.

In the 2025 winter-spring crop, Thuan Chau commune planted more than 530 hectares of rice, with high-quality rice varieties such as Nep tan, 87, 97, with an average yield estimated at 42 quintals/ha. Ms. Vu Hong Binh, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, shared: Right from the beginning of the crop, the commune has directed people to synchronously implement technical measures. In particular, mobilizing people to make the most of the advantages of irrigation water, applying advanced intensive farming methods, balanced fertilization and timely pest control. Thanks to that, the quality and yield of this year's winter-spring rice are guaranteed. Currently, the commune is directing the villages to focus on quick harvesting, avoiding damage due to storms and rains, and at the same time, releasing land early to plant the winter crop, increasing income per unit of land area.

Up to now, people in Thuan Chau commune have harvested over 80% of the winter-spring rice area.
