More than 15 years after its discontinuation, the Honda S2000 still shows its strong appeal, and the American tuning company Bulletproof Automotive has created a special version called BP25, with a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm and a capacity of over 580 horsepower.
At the heart of the S2000 BP25 is a brand new 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, equipped with a Vortech V2-Si supercharger, producing over 580 horsepower at 9,300 rpm and reaching a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm - an impressive number for a 2.0L engine.
The powertrain has been comprehensively upgraded, including an Amuse titanium exhaust (including manifold), a high-performance fuel system with Injector Dynamics injectors, and a Science of Speed radiator to help maintain optimal temperatures when operating at high rpm.
Power is delivered via Honda's AP2 6-speed manual transmission, with a short-throw gearshift lever and lightweight ACT flywheel. The vehicle uses an ASM & Drexler limited-slip differential, optimizing the ability to transfer torque to the rear axle, providing a precise and exciting driving feel.
To control that terrible power, Bulletproof equipped the car with Top Secret Super Dampers coilovers, along with a series of high-performance components from J's Racing, Spoon and EVS.
In terms of design, the BP25 stands out with a Varis Dark Panther carbon fiber widebody kit, including an air vent hood, a large spoiler, and a super lightweight rear trunk. These details not only help improve aerodynamics but also give it a distinctive sporty and powerful appearance.
The entire body is painted in Lamborghini's Balloon White color, matching the color of Concept One - the first car Bulletproof ever built. The car has 19-inch BP-RW Evolution wheels inspired by Tsuchime metal art - a manual hammering technique commonly seen in Japanese knife making.
The rims come with Toyo Proxes R888R 295/30ZR19 tires, hidden inside are Brembo Pista 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brakes, ensuring braking performance commensurate with engine power. Inside the cabin, Bulletproof installed RS-G Limited Edition Super Start seats, Mugen steering wheel, Mugen struts, and FIA-standard Willians seat belts, recreating the space of a real racing car.
The cabin is covered with high-quality black Alcantara on the dashboard, door panels and ceiling, both increasing luxury and reducing glare in strong light conditions, a detail commonly found on professional racing cars.
The Honda S2000 BP25 was created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Bulletproof Automotive - a famous Los Angeles-based car tuning brand specializing in high-performance components, racing cars and special custom projects.
The BP25 was first introduced to the public at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, where the world's most unique modifications were gathered. Here, the S2000 BP25 quickly became the center of attention thanks to its perfect combination of classic sports spirit and contemporary technology.
More than a decade after the Honda S2000 officially ceased production, the BP25 version proves that the legacy of this legendary car is still being inherited and enhanced, not only by performance, but also by the endless creative spirit of sports car enthusiasts.
