Nghe An: Highlights September 6

* On the morning of September 6th, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected and urged the progress of the coastal road project from Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa) to Cua Lo ( Nghe An ). During the inspection, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested localities to accelerate land clearance; and contractors to concentrate resources, machinery, and personnel to speed up construction.

* On the morning of September 6th, Mr. Bui Dinh Long, Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, led a delegation from Nghe An province to visit the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore. During their visit to Singapore, the Nghe An delegation will organize a seminar on promoting investment in Nghe An – a safe, reliable, and efficient destination; and visit and work with economic groups that have invested, are investing, or will invest in Nghe An.

To date, Nghe An province has harvested nearly 20,000 hectares of summer-autumn rice, including more than 7,000 hectares in low-lying, flood-prone areas.

* Due to high market demand, traders are placing large daily orders for papayas from farmers in the Tay Hieu Agricultural Cooperative during this period.

* On September 6th, the People's Court of Nghe An province opened the trial of defendants accused of fraudulently selling land at auction and illegally splitting land titles, appropriating over 7 billion VND.
