At 1 p.m., the highest outdoor temperature in the capital reached 37 degrees Celsius, but the actual temperature measured on the street exceeded 50 degrees Celsius, and the light intensity was very strong.

People who work outdoors are most affected by the heat.

At My Dinh bus station at 1 pm, the sun was scorching hot, there was no shelter. The workers loading goods here were still busy transporting goods.

Hot weather and high intensity work for many hours make the workers here tired, sweat soaking their shirts.

Mr. Doan (a porter at My Dinh bus station) said: "You get used to working in the hot sun. Sometimes you can't even sweat because the sun dries it all up. The work is hard, but everyone needs to make a living, each person has their own job."

Ms. Lan works as a scrap collector, and the hot weather makes her quite tired. "I'm old, working in this heat is very tiring, I try to work for a while then rest, and wait until the cooler afternoon to continue."

The truck drivers also wear protective clothing, covering themselves from head to toe to work in the hot weather.
