Former President Nguyen Xuan Phuc: “Nurturing and arousing strong aspirations to develop Quang Nam”

(QNO) - This afternoon, January 25, leaders of Quang Nam province met and extended New Year greetings to former Party and State leaders who are natives of Quang Nam and former provincial leaders from 1997 to present, on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the Party's founding (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024) and the Year of the Dragon 2024.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Dung expressed his deep gratitude to the former leaders of the Party, State and former provincial leaders who have always cared, shared, accompanied and contributed much effort and intelligence in the development process of Quang Nam since the province was re-established.

At the same time, a general report was given on the results of socio-economic development, Party building, national defense and security of Quang Nam in 2023; and key tasks in 2024.

On this occasion, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Dung also provided specific information about the limitations and shortcomings through the conclusions of the Central Inspection Committee in the past time; at the same time, he affirmed that the Party Executive Committee and the Provincial Party Standing Committee will seriously overcome the limitations, soon stabilize the team, unite and strive to build the province in the coming time.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Le Van Dung hopes to continue receiving the attention, support and assistance of the Central Government, former leaders of the Party, State and former provincial leaders so that Quang Nam can develop further.

Speaking at the meeting, comrades Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, and Vu Ngoc Hoang all expressed their joy at the great results that Quang Nam has achieved since the province was re-established; shared the difficulties and challenges that the province is facing; and always believed in the breakthrough and development of Quang Nam in the coming time.

The former Politburo member and former President expressed his emotion when meeting with comrades who worked in the early days of Quang Nam province's re-establishment. According to comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc, in the face of the province's current difficulties, Quang Nam needs to strongly promote the tradition of solidarity and the aspiration for development for a prosperous Quang Nam, for the revolutionary cause of the people, and for the heroic homeland of Quang Nam.

“Quang Nam needs to regain its development momentum, not to fall behind, with the decisive, dynamic and highly determined participation of Party committees, authorities and people of all levels. Provincial leaders continue to research to rise up, have appropriate directions, methods and strategies, and improve the quality of human resources. Quang Nam must become a model for development in areas of strength such as processing, manufacturing, supporting industries, etc.

The most important issue is to re-energize the team, stabilize ideology, innovate, dare to think and act for the common work; have determination in issues of forest protection, land protection, cultural preservation, care for the people, for the legitimate interests of the people" - former President Nguyen Xuan Phuc confided.

Thanking the opinions shared and sent by comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc and former members of the Party Central Committee, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet pledged that the Provincial Party Executive Committee will make every effort, promote internal strength, overcome difficulties, and equip itself with new motivations and aspirations for development.
