According to information from poet Nguyen Quang Thieu - Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association , writer Minh Chuyen has just been awarded the title of Hero of Labor for his special contributions to post-war literature about war.
On his personal page, poet Nguyen Quang Thieu - Chairman of the Vietnam Writers' Association shared the good news: "On October 9, 2024, General Secretary andPresident To Lam signed a decision to confer the title of Hero of Labor on writer Minh Chuyen for his special contributions to literature about war in the post-war period. The Vietnam Writers' Association would like to congratulate writer Minh Chuyen and thank him for what he has contributed to literature, especially post-war literature. We wish him good health and creative inspiration." 
Writer Minh Chuyen, born in 1948, in Thai Binh . He has edited and composed 97 books with more than 300 works including short stories, novels, memoirs and more than 200 documentaries about the post-war period. Many of his works have brought him noble awards such as: Vietnam Writers Association Award for the memoir collection War Remnants - 1998; A Prize from the Vietnam Writers Association and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs for the memoir collection The Not Lonely - 2017; International Gold Cup Award, 10th International Film Festival in North Korea for the documentary film Father and Son Soldier - 2006; State Prize for Literature and Arts in 2017... Writer Minh Chuyen is also a screenwriter and director of many film and television works such as the documentary films The Advisor , Legend of the Ship Without Number , War Memories Seen from Two Sides, The Historical Message , Unconquerable Con Dao...
