The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued a Plan to organize the Sen Village Festival in 2024 on the occasion of the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024).
Accordingly, the 2024 Lotus Village Festival will be held at the provincial level to express the people's gratitude and respect for President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero, outstanding cultural celebrity.
At the same time, through activities to propagate andeducate Ho Chi Minh's ideology; continue to carry out the campaign "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; contribute to promoting the image of the country and people of Nghe An to the people at home and abroad.
The main activities will be held from May 11 to 19, including the ceremony: Flower offering ceremony in front of Uncle Ho's statue at Ho Chi Minh Square and the parade to Uncle Ho's hometown at 5:00 p.m. on May 11; Flower offering and incense offering ceremony at Uncle Ho's memorial house and Chung Son Temple at 5:45 p.m. on May 11, 2024; Procession of Uncle Ho's portrait from Uncle Ho's memorial house at Kim Lien relic site to Lang Sen stadium at 7:00 p.m. on May 11, 2024 and Opening of Lang Sen Festival at 8:00 p.m. on May 11, 2024 at Lang Sen stadium, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district.
The festival will have many unique cultural, artistic and sports activities, including activities chaired by the Department of Culture and Sports, including: Nghe An Province's Sen Village Singing Festival 2024 from May 16 to May 18 in Vinh City and Nam Dan District; Street performance "Homeland in Lotus Blooming Season" on the evening of May 18 on Vinh City's walking street; Fine arts and photography exhibition "Nghe An - Following Uncle Ho's words" from May 13 to May 20 at the Provincial Cultural Center Exhibition House; Nghe An Province's volleyball and traditional martial arts tournament 2024 from May 14 to May 17 in Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District; Art program "From Sen Village to Ho Chi Minh City" on the evening of May 19 at Ho Chi Minh Square, Vinh City.
In addition, there will be cultural, artistic and camping activities in Nam Dan district from May 11 to May 19, 2024, hosted by the People's Committee of Nam Dan district, and the 2024 Nghe An Marathon "Journey to Lotus Village" on June 9, hosted by a business, in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports and the People's Committees of Vinh city, Cua Lo town and Nam Dan district./.
