Hanoi Old Quarter: Guide to Visiting 4 Paid Monuments

From December 8, two relics in Hanoi's Old Quarter, Bach Ma Temple (76 Hang Buom) and Kim Ngan Communal House (42-44 Hang Bac), will start selling entrance tickets at VND20,000/turn. Quan De Temple (28 Hang Buom) and the Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center (50 Dao Duy Tu) will collect fees from January 1, 2026. According to the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi's Old Quarter, the fee collection is implemented according to Resolution 66 issued on November 27 by the Hanoi People's Council.

Free and discounted tickets

Free: people with severe disabilities; children under 16 years old. In case of children without proof of age, free based on height under 1.3 m.
50% discount on ticket prices: students from 16 years old and up; seniors (from 60 years old); people with revolutionary contributions; people under social policy; lonely elderly; people in remote, mountainous areas with special difficulties.

Open every day of the week: 8:00-12:00; 13:30-17:30.
Three days of the weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday): open evening 19:00-21:00.

Bach Ma Temple is one of the four temples of Thang Long, worshiping Long Do god, built in the 9th century. Kim Ngan Communal House worships the founder of all arts, is one of the oldest and largest communal houses still preserved in Hanoi's Old Quarter.

According to the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter, revenue from tickets will be paid into the state budget to serve the management, restoration and promotion of relic values in the Old Quarter area.

Prioritize the main time slots 8:00-12:00 and 13:30-17:30; if you are walking around the walking street on the weekend, you can visit the slot 19:00-21:00.
