Update on monument entrance fees
According to information from the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter, the collection of entrance fees at some key relics in the area will be applied according to Resolution 66 of the Hanoi People's Council. This is the first time these locations have applied ticket sales after a long period of being open to visitors for free.
Revenue from tickets will be paid into the state budget to serve the management, restoration and promotion of the value of historical and cultural relics in the old quarter.
Applicable schedule and location
The toll collection will be implemented in two phases:
- From December 8, 2025: Bach Ma Temple (76 Hang Buom) and Kim Ngan Communal House (42-44 Hang Bac).
- From January 1, 2026: Quan De Temple (28 Hang Buom) and Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center (50 Dao Duy Tu).

Opening Hours
The above locations are open every day of the week with fixed hours:
- Morning: 8:00 - 12:00
- Afternoon: 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
In particular, on the three weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), the relics will open additional evening hours from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to serve tourists visiting the walking street.
Fees and incentives
The general ticket price applied to all relic sites is 20,000 VND/turn/person .
Free cases
- People with severe disabilities.
- Children under 16 years old. For children without identification, free admission will be applied for children under 1.3 m in height.
Cases of 50% discount on ticket price
- Students from 16 years old and up.
- Elderly people (60 years of age and older).
- People with revolutionary contributions
- People with social security benefits, lonely elderly people.
- People in remote, mountainous areas with particularly difficult socio -economic conditions.
Some features of the monuments
Bach Ma Temple is one of the "Four Towns of Thang Long", built in the 9th century to worship Long Do, the original god of the ancient Thang Long citadel. Meanwhile, Kim Ngan Communal House is the place to worship the founder of all arts, considered one of the oldest and largest communal houses still preserved in the old quarter.
