According to a survey, the prices of many types of vegetables sold by gardeners are at a high level and have increased by an average of 1,000 - 10,000 VND/kg compared to the end of October. Specifically, spinach and bell peppers (red and yellow) are fluctuating from 40,000 - 45,000 VND/kg, an increase of 8,000 - 10,000 VND/kg compared to about 10 days ago. The price of climbing beans also increased by 6,000 VND/kg to 18,000 VND/kg, tomatoes increased by 5,000 VND to 20,000 VND/kg. Similarly, many types of leafy vegetables and root vegetables such as broccoli, coron lettuce, green lo lo lettuce, cabbage, kohlrabi, beetroot... also recorded a slight increase of 1,000 - 4,000 VND/kg.

Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, owner of Van Hanh vegetable establishment (Lam Vien ward - Da Lat) said that in recent days due to the impact of storms and rains, many types of vegetables in Da Lat and surrounding areas (especially leafy vegetables) have also suffered significant damage, causing a decrease in supply. At the same time, the strong increase in market demand, especially in the Central provinces and the Northern region, has pushed up vegetable prices.

Currently, the year-end crop planting area for vegetables and beans of all kinds in Lam Dong province is estimated at nearly 35,000 hectares; of which, vegetables of all kinds reached 30,617 hectares, an increase of 3.34% over the same period in 2024; beans of all kinds reached 4,357.6 hectares, a decrease of 8.6% compared to 2024. During the flood at the end of October, the whole Lam Dong province had over 3,000 hectares of vegetables damaged, mainly concentrated in communes and wards in the old Binh Thuan area and the suburban areas of Da Lat.

According to the Lam Dong Agricultural Extension Center, it is forecasted that in the coming time, the prices of some vegetables, tubers, and fruits in the area will continue to increase due to the impact of recent floods. Meanwhile, the prices of flowers and agricultural materials are relatively stable.
