(NLĐO) - Many drivers have proactively come to the Traffic Police Department of Dak Nong province to report that they were talking on the phone while driving.
On the evening of December 11th, the Traffic Police Department of Dak Nong province reported that three bus drivers had come forward to confess to traffic violations for driving while talking on the phone.
The Traffic Police Department of Dak Nong Provincial Police handled one case where a driver voluntarily reported the violation of using a mobile phone while driving.
Accordingly, on December 11-12, Mr. TVD (born in 1963, residing in Lam Dong province) reported to the Traffic Police Department of Dak Nong province about his use of a mobile phone while driving a passenger bus.
According to Mr. D's statement, on the morning of the same day, while driving a passenger bus with license plate 49G-001.XX through Dak Nong province, he used his mobile phone to handle work matters.
After seeing news reports and social media coverage about traffic police in Dak Nong province dealing with many bus drivers for using their phones while driving, and realizing that this could endanger himself, passengers, and other road users, Mr. D. went to the Traffic Police Department to report the incident.
Authorities have discovered many bus drivers using their phones while driving, based on footage extracted from onboard surveillance cameras.
The Traffic Police Department of Dak Nong Provincial Police has recorded, verified, and issued an administrative violation report against Mr. D. for using a mobile phone while driving a passenger bus. At the same time, Mr. D. was required to sign a commitment to strictly comply with the regulations of the Road Traffic Law.
According to the Traffic Police Department of Dak Nong province, on December 11-12, three bus drivers came to the unit to report violations related to using mobile phones while driving.
Previously, on December 10th, the Traffic Police Department of Dak Nong province issued citations to five bus drivers for using their phones while driving. Notably, some cases were discovered through the extraction of surveillance camera footage from the buses, surprising many drivers.
Following media reports that traffic police in Dak Nong province had detected and penalized many bus drivers for talking on the phone while driving, based on footage extracted from onboard surveillance cameras, many drivers have proactively come forward to report the incidents.
