In interviews with several newspapers, the leader further shared information that Park Hang-seo will hold the position of Technical Director of Ho Chi Minh City FC, while Lee Young-jin will take over as Head Coach. Park and Lee will not be able to participate when Ho Chi Minh City FC hosts Binh Duong FC in the National Cup on November 28th. Both will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City on November 30th, along with one technical assistant and one fitness assistant from South Korea. Simultaneously, the Ho Chi Minh City FC management has also prepared a new Vietnamese coaching staff, including two former star players from Ho Chi Minh City Police FC, Phung Thanh Phuong and Nguyen Liem Thanh, and Dinh Hong Vinh.

"We hope that the arrival of Mr. Park Hang-seo and Head Coach Lee Young-jin will bring a new impetus to Ho Chi Minh City FC. We hope that the secrets to success of these two talented coaches will be reappeared to help the 'Red Battleship' make steady progress in the coming journey," the Ho Chi Minh City FC leadership continued.
This news immediately caused a stir on the city's football forums. In the comments, several accounts expressed extreme surprise that two famous Korean figures, who had been involved with Vietnamese football for 5 years, had accepted offers to "wear the jersey" of a V-League club. One account even wrote: "No matter what, even though he left the Vietnamese national team with a runner-up finish in the 2022 AFF Cup, those 5 golden years with numerous milestones and titles still give the Park Hang-seo effect a special place in the hearts of fans. His philosophy of success, emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and a solid defense, has transformed the Vietnamese national team. Clearly, the appearance of this Korean coaching duo at Ho Chi Minh City FC will bring a huge positive effect."
Surprisingly, on the evening of November 23rd, in response to Thanh Nien newspaper , the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF) denied the information provided by the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City FC. HFF officials stated that although the city's team had intended to invite Mr. Park and Mr. Lee, nothing was yet clear, so there could not have been a contract signing on November 24th.
A national team player said he called Coach Park, and the coach also said he wouldn't sign with the team. Meanwhile, Coach Park's representative shared that Ho Chi Minh City FC had mentioned their intention to invite Coach Park to work for them, but it was only a verbal conversation and nothing concrete had been decided yet.
