State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 Branch was established on March 1, 2025 on the basis of merging State Bank branches in the provinces: Tien Giang, Long An, Ben Tre and Tra Vinh .

Because Tay Ninh province (old) and Long An province (old) merged into Tay Ninh province (new), Tien Giang province (old) and Dong Thap province (old) merged into Dong Thap province (new), in this restructuring of the regional State Bank, State Bank Region 13 was assigned to manage the two (new) provinces of Dong Thap and Tay Ninh.

Thus, after the reorganization, the State Bank of Vietnam Region 13 will manage two additional provinces (formerly) Dong Thap (formerly under the State Bank of Vietnam Branch Region 15) and Tay Ninh (formerly under the State Bank of Vietnam Branch Region 12); at the same time, the two former provinces of Ben Tre and Tra Vinh will be transferred to the management of the State Bank of Vietnam Branch Region 14.

SBV Region 13 manages an area with an operational scale including 125 commercial bank branches and 70 people's credit funds. This area has a mobilized scale of 391 trillion VND, outstanding debt of 493 trillion VND.

Along with the decision on branch organization, the Governor of the State Bank also signed decisions on the transfer and appointment of Deputy Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 13.

Accordingly, Mr. Tran Thien Tri, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 12 Branch, was transferred and appointed to hold the position of Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 Branch.

Appoint and transfer Mr. Vuong Tri Phong, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 15 Branch, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 13 Branch.

The Governor of the State Bank also signed decisions to transfer and appoint personnel to the positions of department heads and deputy department heads of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 13.

Since March 1, the organization of the State Bank of Vietnam at the central level after the reorganization has been reduced from 25 to 20. Regarding the branch system, the State Bank of Vietnam has reorganized 63 provincial and municipal branches into 15 regional State Bank branches.

Next, the State Bank reviewed and rearranged regional branches of the State Bank to synchronize with the merger of provincial administrative units and completed the rearrangement of regional State Bank in accordance with the direction.
