The best Chinese camera phones on the market

VTC NewsVTC News06/12/2024

It's clear that in 2024, besides the race for better specifications, the smartphone market saw improvements in hardware-based photography capabilities, as well as the application of artificial intelligence (AI), making it easier for users to create impressive photos using only their smartphones.

Notably, in addition to high-end products from the two "giants" Apple and Samsung, Chinese phone manufacturers have also shown serious investment by collaborating with renowned camera and lens brands to deliver phones with powerful hardware and significant AI support.

It's clear that phones like the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Oppo Find X8 Pro, Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, and Vivo X200 Pro are bringing a "breath of fresh air" to mobile photography at the end of the year. In many cases, these Chinese-branded phones even offer a better experience and image processing than the "big players" in the industry.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra - 30 million VND

In collaboration with premium camera manufacturer Leica, Xiaomi has created a phone primarily for mobile photography enthusiasts, setting it apart from most other models on the market.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is a test for the company, as this is Xiaomi's first foray into the high-end segment, with a price tag exceeding 30 million VND in the Vietnamese market.

In terms of hardware, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra boasts a top-tier camera with a 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor and 50-megapixel resolution. This lens has a 23mm focal length, a variable aperture of f/1.63-4.0, and captures 136% more light than last year's 13 Ultra.

Two telephoto lenses with 3.2x (75mm) and 5x (120mm) zoom capabilities, both using high-quality Sony IMX858 sensors. Additionally, there's a 12mm f/1.8 ultra-wide-angle lens. With the included accessory ring, users can attach various filters.

Oppo Find X8 Pro - 30 million VND

This year's Find X8 Series models focus not only on performance but also on enhancing the user experience, especially in mobile photography and smart features.

The Find X8 Pro's rear camera system comprises four lenses, each designed to perform a specific role. The 50MP ultrawide camera, with its 1/2.75'' sensor size and 15mm focal length, is ideal for landscape or group photos, thanks to its ability to capture wide spaces with excellent detail.

The 50MP main camera features a large 1/1.4'' sensor, integrated optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 23mm focal length, performing effectively in both daylight and low-light conditions.

Additionally, the two 50MP telephoto cameras also feature 3x and 6x optical zoom capabilities, with focal lengths of 73 mm and 135 mm respectively, offering advantages in portrait and telephoto photography while maintaining detail and true-to-life colors.

The 32MP front camera with a 1/2.74'' sensor and 21mm focal length is also a high-quality lens, supporting AI features to improve selfie image quality, ensuring natural beauty reproduction in all lighting conditions.

Additionally, the Burst Shot mode on the OPPO Find X8 Pro allows for high-speed continuous shooting, up to 200 photos in 30 seconds, ensuring no lag. Thanks to real-time posture and body shape recognition, along with instant dual exposure technology, this mode helps capture smooth, detailed movements, suitable for fast-paced action or sports moments.

Huawei Pura 70 Ultra - 35 million VND

In April of this year, Huawei unveiled its latest Pura 70 series, with the notable Pura 70 Ultra boasting a high-end camera system.

The product features a 1-inch 50MP main sensor, a 40MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto macro sensor. The main camera can seamlessly retract and extend, with a durability of at least 300,000 cycles.

The Pura 70 Ultra boasts 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. For stable photos, the company has implemented AIS (artificial intelligence-based image stabilization). Meanwhile, the front of the phone features a 13MP camera.

Vivo X200 Pro - 19 million VND

This year's top-of-the-line vivo X200 Pro has garnered significant user attention due to its impressive internal hardware upgrades.

The circular camera module with four lenses and an internal flash, the prominent Zeiss logo, and the glossy outer bezel give the overall back a bold and luxurious look.

The triple rear camera system features a 50MP 23mm LYT-818 main sensor, a massive 200MP APO Super Telephoto sensor with an 85mm focal length, a 50MP 15mm Samsung JN1 ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a Laser AF sensor.

In addition, this model is equipped with the brand-new V3+ image processing chip, which was researched and developed in-house by the company.

With photos taken from the main camera in Vivid mode, the colors and details in the images are reproduced fully and sharply. Thanks to this new LYT-818 sensor, the image quality from the main camera is on par with the 1-inch sensors of other models.

Honor 300 Ultra - 15.7 million VND

The Honor 300 Ultra made a striking debut with its advanced camera system. Specifically, it features a 50MP periscope camera with an IMX858 sensor, offering 3.8x optical zoom and an f/3.0 aperture, allowing users to capture every moment with sharp quality.

In addition, the smartphone retains unique photography features such as Harcourt Portrait mode, which recreates realistic lighting effects similar to those in famous Parisian studios. The AI Light Control Engine technology further enhances the accuracy of shadow and light reproduction, making each photo more vibrant and natural.
