Efforts to overcome consequences of floods in Yen Nhan commune (Thanh Hoa province)

On the morning of August 29, police and military forces of Thanh Hoa province continued to be reinforced to support Yen Nhan commune in overcoming the consequences of floods.

Yen Nhan village devastated after flood

Three days after the devastating storm No. 5 made landfall, the villages in Yen Nhan commune are still in disarray. Highway 47 leading to the villages is filled with mud and rocks. The only way to access the villages is on foot.

According to incomplete statistics of Yen Nhan Commune People's Committee, the whole commune has 166 households damaged by floods, of which 22 houses completely collapsed; 123 households with 492 people had to be urgently evacuated to a safe place. Currently, the commune is still without electricity, many villages have lost phone signal. The villages of Na Nghiu, Khang, and My are still isolated due to landslides.
