Recently, Ms. Ngoc Anh, Founder of NorthStar American School (NAS) - an American school operating in Texas and accredited by the leading educational organization Cognia, was one of two Asian women attending the Women in Education Leadership program at Harvard.
The program is dedicated to female educational leaders across the United States – bringing together principals, founders and policymakers who are leading American schools. The presence of a Vietnamese female leader here recognizes the pride and efforts of Vietnamese people who are contributing to the innovation of international education models.
Here, Ms. Ngoc Anh met and shared with many famous female leaders who have had a profound influence on modern educational thinking:
Angela Jackson – CEO of Future Forward Strategies, author of the New York Times Best Seller "Win-Win Workplace".
Deborah Jewell-Sherman – one of America's most outstanding female educational leaders, famous for her groundbreaking reforms in the public school system.
Gillian Todd – Professor of Law at Harvard, leading expert on the art of win-win negotiation.

While exchanging knowledge, the female leaders analyzed prominent issues in modern education: building a diverse learning ecosystem, equitable access to education, applying technology and developing a sustainable school culture.
NAS at Harvard: Vietnamese students' online learning model attracts attention
Sharing about the program at Harvard, Ms. Ngoc Anh said that the discussions opened up many insights. Harvard is a leading university with online learning models, they are very interested in how NAS implements the American curriculum for young students in Vietnam.
She said:
"When I shared about the NAS classroom model – where students from kindergarten to elementary school can learn effectively online with American teachers – they were really impressed. They were excited to know that in a NAS class, there are students from Nghe An , Viet Tri, Ho Chi Minh City studying with students from Taiwan (China), Japan or the US. That diversity brings a truly global experience to Vietnamese children."
Reality shows that online education is no longer a temporary solution during the pandemic but has become a flexible choice, meeting the needs of multinational learning. NAS – an accredited American school model, taught directly by American teachers and awarded with an American high school diploma – opens a new approach: Vietnamese students can receive an international degree right at home without the high cost of studying abroad.

From Texas to Vietnam: The Vision of "Global Learning – Local Heart"
Founded in Texas, NAS has the mission of bringing American educational standards closer to Vietnamese students. The philosophy of "Global Learning - Local Heart" has been the foundation that has guided the school since its early days.
According to Ms. Ngoc Anh, an American high school diploma helps students expand their opportunities to enter prestigious universities in the US and internationally, while developing independent thinking, critical thinking, English skills and integration from a young age.
Vietnamese imprint at Harvard
Ms. Ngoc Anh’s participation at the Harvard Women Leaders event contributes to affirming the capacity of Vietnamese educators on the international education map. In the exchange space at Harvard – where reform ideas are opened and challenged – the voice of a Vietnamese representative helps bring the story of Vietnamese education closer to the world .
NAS hopes that the connection and perspective from Harvard will continue to strengthen its mission of providing Vietnamese students with a learning environment that transcends borders.

Experience as an American student
In order to spread the spirit of Harvard's global education, NAS has launched a special program: "Experience being an American student online - 0 VND" for students from 4 to 18 years old in Vietnam. In just a few lessons, students can:
Experience modern educational methods
Study with friends from many countries
Communicate in English directly with American teachers
Join an international standard American class right at home
This is a good opportunity for parents to evaluate the suitability of the American standard online learning model before deciding on a long-term path.
