After three days of urgent work in the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development", the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has completed the proposed programs.

On the morning of October 18, the closing ceremony of the Congress was solemnly held at the National Convention Center, Hanoi Capital.

Attending the closing session of the Congress were members of the Party Central Committee, representatives of leaders of ministries, branches, central agencies and localities; and former Chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

At the closing session, the Congress listened to a report summarizing the results of the presentations and discussions; speech by Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long on the situation and tasks of socio -economic development of the country, coordination between the Government and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; speech by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong on coordination between the National Assembly and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Presenting the Report synthesizing comments and discussions at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, said that the Congress had received 110 reports contributing comments on the content of the Political Report. Of these, there were 64 comments from provinces and centrally-run cities; 32 comments from member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; 14 comments from individuals representing different classes of people and the Vietnamese community abroad.

The content of the prepared discussion reports is of high quality. Many comments and assessments have been studied and summarized from practice, the recommendations and proposals are specific, convincing, and suitable to the requirements of innovation in the content and methods of the Front's work. There were 74 opinions expressed at the Congress, of which: 12 opinions expressed directly at the Hall; 41 opinions expressed directly and 21 opinions expressed in writing at 5 Discussion Centers. At the discussion sessions, delegates attending the Congress promoted the spirit of democracy, high responsibility, frankness, objectivity, many opinions expressed wholeheartedly, contributing to perfecting the contents of the Congress.

On behalf of the Congress Presidium, Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, reported on the results of the 1st Conference of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Accordingly, the Congress highly trusted and democratically consulted to elect 397 members to join the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 67 members to join the Presidium; consulted to elect the Chairman, Vice Chairman - General Secretary, 2 full-time Vice Chairmen and 7 part-time Vice Chairmen.

Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th tenure, continues to hold the position of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairman-General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th tenure, continues to hold the position of Vice Chairman-General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure. The two full-time Vice Chairmen are Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy and Ms. To Thi Bich Chau.

Mr. Do Van Chien, Chairman of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, thanked the Congress for its trust in introducing and consulting to elect members to join the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized that the Presidium and the Standing Committee for the 2024-2029 term are deeply aware of their great honor and responsibility, affirming that they will be dedicated to their assigned tasks, promote their intelligence, uphold their responsibility, and work to the best of their ability; overcome all difficulties, strive to best fulfill assigned tasks; focus on synchronously, flexibly, and creatively implementing tasks and solutions, maintaining solidarity, unanimity, and consensus, and successfully implementing the directions, goals, and tasks set forth by the Congress.

The Presidium and the Standing Committee for the 2024-2029 term look forward to receiving the support and assistance of delegates, member organizations, and representatives of social classes and strata, and overseas Vietnamese, to fulfill the important responsibilities entrusted to them by the Congress.

At the closing session of the Congress, representatives of the Standing Committee of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front presented souvenirs to members of the Central Committee, the Presidium and the Standing Committee of the 9th term who did not continue to participate in the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

* Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (10th tenure) Do Van Chien was born on November 10, 1962, and is a San Diu ethnic. Religion: None. Hometown: Ninh Lai commune, Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province.

Mr. Do Van Chien's educational background: University of Agriculture, majoring in Cultivation; political level: Senior. Date of joining the Party: September 13, 1986; official date: September 13, 1987. During his work, Mr. Do Van Chien has received the following awards: First, Second, Third Class Labor Medals; 3 Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister; 15 commemorative medals from ministries and branches.

After growing up through various positions in Tuyen Quang province, from September 2001 to April 2006, Mr. Do Van Chien was a member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province. From February 2011 to June 2011, he was a member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province.

He then held the following positions: Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee for the 2010-2015 term; Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister, Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Committee (from February 15, 2015 - April 2016); Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister, Chairman of the Ethnic Committee (from April 2016 - January 2021).
On January 30, 2021, at the 13th National Congress of the Party, Mr. Do Van Chien was re-elected to the Central Executive Committee and elected by the Central Executive Committee to the Secretariat.

From March 31, 2021 to April 11, 2021, he was Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; deputy of the 14th National Assembly (2016-2021).

On April 12, 2021, at the 4th Conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX, Mr. Do Van Chien, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, was elected to join the Committee, the Presidium and hold the position of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX, term 2019 - 2024.

On May 16, 2024, at the 9th Central Conference, term XIII, the Central Committee elected Mr. Do Van Chien to hold the position of member of the 13th Politburo.
From May 16, 2024 to October 16, 2024, Mr. Do Van Chien was a member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and a delegate of the 15th National Assembly.

On October 17, 2024, the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029, elected Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Party Delegation Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 9, National Assembly delegate, term 15, to be re-elected as member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, member of the Presidium and hold the position of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029.
