On the afternoon of May 22, with 468/469 National Assembly deputies in favor (accounting for 94.74% of the total number of National Assembly deputies), the National Assembly passed a resolution to elect Mr. Le Quang Manh, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, to hold the position of Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee.

Mr. Le Quang Manh (born in 1974), from Hanoi, is a Doctor of Economics; advanced level of political theory. He is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee; Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Can Tho City, 15th term.
Having grown up as a contract officer of the Department of Industry (Ministry of Planning and Investment), Mr. Le Quang Manh has many years of working experience and held many leadership positions in this ministry: such as Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Business Registration Management; Director of the Department of Business Registration Management; Director of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations; Director of the Department of Local and Territorial Economy.
In March 2018, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment. At the end of April 2019, the Secretariat decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Le Quang Manh to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.
In early June 2019, he was elected by the People's Council of Can Tho City to hold the position of Chairman of the City People's Committee. Then, in 2020, he was elected Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and held this position until the National Assembly elected him as a member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee.
