PGBank officially appoints General Director

Prosperity and Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PGBank - stock code: PGB) has just officially appointed Mr. Nguyen Van Huong as General Director of PGBank after receiving approval from the State Bank of Vietnam .

Speaking at the ceremony to appoint the General Director, Mr. Pham Manh Thang - Chairman of the Board of Directors of PGBank said that in the context of the rapidly changing financial-banking market and many challenges, maintaining position and sustainable development requires creative strategies, drastic actions and long-term vision.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I request the new General Director to continue to promote his personal capacity, while maximizing the collective strength of PGBank's staff. The goal is to accelerate PGBank's development in a safe and effective direction, gradually affirming its brand as an international standard bank, with an ideal working environment and building a sustainable corporate culture,” Mr. Pham Manh Thang emphasized.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Huong expressed his honor and gratitude for the trust of shareholders and the Board of Directors.

He shared: "Being appointed as General Director of PGBank is a great pride and responsibility. I pledge to work with the leadership team and all staff to continuously improve service quality, promote innovation, build PGBank into an international standard, modern and efficient bank, build prestige, and optimally meet the needs of customers and shareholders."

Joining PGBank from September 23, 2024 as Acting General Director, Mr. Huong is highly appreciated by the Board of Directors for his integration and management capacity. The official appointment of Mr. Nguyen Van Huong as General Director marks the completion of PGBank's Executive Board in the journey of innovation and development.

Mr. Nguyen Van Huong, born in 1980, has more than 20 years of experience in the field of finance and banking. He graduated with a Bachelor of Investment Economics and a Master of Business Administration from the National Economics University in Hanoi.

During his career, he held many important positions at banks such as Vietcombank, VPBank andOCB .

Before joining PGBank, he held the position of Deputy General Director of Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB).
