Strive for 30% of businesses to have women as leaders by 2030

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 2415/QD-TTg approving the Project to support women in starting businesses for the period 2026 - 2035, to be implemented nationwide.

The beneficiaries include all women who want to start a business and start a business; priority is given to disadvantaged women, women in difficult circumstances, single women, and women with disabilities.

Women changing careers from civil servants, state officials, or armed forces. Women-owned enterprises (enterprises in which one or more women own 51% or more of the charter capital, of which at least one woman holds a managerial position); cooperatives managed by women.

The objective of the Project is to raise awareness of the whole society, especially members and women, about entrepreneurship and the role of the private economy in the country's economic development based on the application of science, technology and innovation.

In the period from 2026 to 2030, the Project strives to have 90% of specialized union officials at all levels improve their knowledge, capacity, and related skills to effectively organize activities to support women in starting a business, improve business knowledge and skills for 50,000 women who are business owners, business households, cooperatives, and cooperative groups owned by women; guide 12,500 business households owned by women to register to convert into enterprises; guide and support 5,000 start-up businesses and cooperatives owned by women to restructure and consolidate, improve, and improve the capacity of members; strive to have the ratio of female directors/owners of businesses and cooperatives reach 30%; support.

In the period from 2031 to 2035, strive for 100% of specialized union officials at all levels to improve their knowledge, capacity, and related skills to effectively organize activities to support women in starting businesses.

At the same time, provide consulting support to 75,000 enterprises, cooperatives, and business households owned by women who need to access preferential credit sources and start-up and innovation funds; guide 25,000 business households owned by women to register to convert into enterprises; guide and support 8,000 start-up enterprises and cooperatives owned and managed by women to restructure and consolidate, improve, and enhance the capacity of members.
