Responding to the above information, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Pham Thu Hang emphasized that Vietnam is ready to discuss with US agencies to jointly resolve difficulties, ensuring that relevant information is reviewed objectively, fairly, and in accordance with international practices. Thereby, facilitating and promoting economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and the US.

"We are committed to promoting fair and transparent trade activities while protecting the legitimate rights of enterprises producing and trading in Vietnam," the spokesperson said.

Referring to the 2025 report on human trafficking in the world by the US State Department, which includes content related to Vietnam, the spokesman said: "Vietnam welcomes the US side's objective assessment of Vietnam's positive results in preventing and combating human trafficking in recent times."

Ms. Hang said that Vietnam has been implementing the work of preventing and combating human trafficking according to the program for the period of 2021-2025 and orientation to 2030. This includes passing the Law on Prevention and Combating Human Trafficking in 2024; strengthening investigation, prosecution, and trial of human trafficking cases; identifying and supporting victims of trafficking; promptly responding to new challenges of the human trafficking situation in the region and the world.

Vietnam is also making efforts to implement the goals of the global compact on safe and orderly regular migration according to the plan issued by the Prime Minister in 2020, aiming to strengthen a transparent migration environment, protect the legitimate rights of migrants and prevent the risk of human trafficking in international migration.

"In that spirit, Vietnam hopes that the two countries (Vietnam and the US) will continue to cooperate closely and increase exchanges and dialogues to more comprehensively and positively evaluate Vietnam's efforts and achievements in preventing and combating human trafficking, in line with the spirit of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation and sustainable development," the spokesperson affirmed.
