Launching the 6th 'Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product' Award

On September 4 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Science and Technology in coordination with the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry held a press conference to announce and launch the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" Award in 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich - Director of the Department of Information Technology Industry said that 2025 is the sixth year the Award has been held and the first year organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The Award will honor outstanding digital technology products, bringing pride to Vietnamese intelligence, promoting comprehensive, all-people digital transformation to accelerate and break through the development of the digital economy , digitize economic sectors, create a leap in productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy, and at the same time aim to master core technologies, platform technologies, and strategic technologies.

The Award also continues to honor Vietnamese digital technology products that conquer the world, contribute to the development of humanity and make Vietnam prosperous. At the same time, for the first time, the Award will honor outstanding strategic digital technology products in the List of strategic technologies and strategic technology products in Decision No. 1131/QD-TTg dated June 12, 2025 of the Prime Minister.

The 2025 Award has 8 categories, of which the Organizing Committee continues to maintain 7 categories as last year, including: Outstanding digital technology products in the fields of industry and construction; Outstanding technology products in the fields of agriculture, resources and environment; Outstanding digital technology products in the fields of transportation, post and logistics; Outstanding digital technology products in the fields of education, health, culture and society; Outstanding technology products in the fields of finance, banking, trade and services; Outstanding digital technology products for foreign markets; Potential digital technology products.

The Organizing Committee replaced 1 new digital technology product category of the 2024 award with a strategic digital technology product category, which includes applied products: Artificial intelligence, digital copy, virtual reality/augmented reality; cloud computing technology, quantum, big data; blockchain technology; next-generation mobile network technology (5G/6G); robotics and automation technology; semiconductor chip technology.

For the category of potential digital technology products, it only applies to micro, small enterprises or innovative startups established under Vietnamese law (if it is a foreign-invested enterprise, Vietnamese people must own at least 51% of the total shares).

For the category of outstanding digital technology products for foreign markets, in addition to domestic enterprises with Vietnamese people holding controlling shares, the category also includes enterprises established abroad but with Vietnamese people owning at least 51% of the total shares.

For the remaining categories, enterprises established under Vietnamese law (if they are foreign-invested enterprises, Vietnamese people must own at least 51% of the total shares) and units and career organizations with digital technology products researched, designed, created, manufactured in Vietnam and put into practical application.

Each award category will have awards: Gold, Silver, Bronze and Top 10. Digital technology products, solutions and services that win awards (Gold, Silver, Bronze) will receive trophies and award certificates. Products that reach the Top 10 will receive award certificates.

According to the representative of the Organizing Committee, the time for receiving registration and submitting application documents is from September 4, 2025 to October 22, 2025. During the period from September 4, 2025 to October 4, 2025, enterprises can make preliminary registration and receive guidance from the Standing Agency of the Award to prepare documents according to the Regulations. The form of submitting documents online at the Award Electronic Information Portal: giaithuong.makeinvietnam.mst.gov.vn

The award ceremony will be held in December 2025 within the framework of the National Forum on Developing Vietnamese Digital Technology Enterprises./.
