(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Mr. Ho Duc Phoc has resigned from his position as Minister of Finance, and Mr. Nguyen Van Thang is no longer the Minister of Transport, according to a resolution approving their dismissals recently passed by the National Assembly .
On the afternoon of November 28, the National Assembly voted to approve the Prime Minister's proposal to dismiss Mr. Ho Duc Phoc from the position of Minister of Finance and Mr. Nguyen Van Thang from the position of Minister of Transport for the 2021-2026 term.
Mr. Phuoc and Mr. Thang were approved to resign from their current positions to take on new roles.

The previous afternoon, under the chairmanship of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the National Assembly heard Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh present a proposal requesting the National Assembly to approve the dismissal of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Transport for the 2021-2026 term.
Earlier, the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, meeting on the morning of November 25th, reviewed and gave opinions on personnel for the Politburo to decide on to recommend to the 15th National Assembly for approval the positions of Minister of Finance and Minister of Transport.
Mr. Ho Duc Phoc was born in 1963 in Nghe An province. He holds a PhD in Economics, is a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam for the 12th and 13th terms, and was a member of the National Assembly for the 14th and 15th terms.
In April 2016, he became State Auditor General and held this position for one term, until being approved for appointment as Minister of Finance in 2021.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thang was born in 1973 and is from Hanoi.
He has a PhD in Monetary Theory Finance, is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee and a delegate of the 14th and 15th National Assembly.
He was approved for appointment as Minister of Transport in October 2022 and held this position for two years, until he was relieved of his duties by the National Assembly to take on a new position.
