On the afternoon of October 16, 1,052 delegates representing classes, people, ethnicities, religions, armed forces, overseas Vietnamese and Front officials at all levels were present at the National Convention Center ( Hanoi ) to attend the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029.

Attending the Congress were comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee. Vietnam Fatherland Front 9th term; non-professional Vice Chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: Ha Thi Khiet, former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization; Nguyen Thi Doan, former Vice President ; Party Central Committee members: Mai Van Chinh, Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization; Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Vice Chairwoman-General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th term.
Attending the Congress were Party Central Committee members, alternate Party Central Committee members; representatives of leaders of departments, ministries, branches, and organizations; Vice Chairmen, former Vice Chairmen, members, and former members of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th tenure.

With the theme "Solidarity-Democracy-Innovation-Creativity-Development", the Congress reviewed the work of the Front for the 2019-2024 term; discussed and approved the goals and Action Program for the 2024-2029 term; approved the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 10th term; consulted to elect the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 10th term...
On the first working day of the Congress, the delegates delegates visited the photo exhibition the great national unity bloc and the results of the Front's work for the 2019-2024 term; consult and elect the Congress Presidium of 55 members and the Congress Secretariat of 5 members; discuss and approve the Congress's Program and Working Regulations; listen to reports on the situation of delegates attending the Congress.

Specifically, the total number of official delegates attending the Congress is 1,052. In terms of structure and composition, female delegates account for more than 30%, non-Party delegates account for more than 46%, and ethnic minorities accounting for more than 25%, religious representatives accounted for nearly 19%.

There are 20 delegates who are Vietnamese living abroad, 152 delegates who are businessmen, 271 delegates who are full-time Front officials. Delegates with university degrees or higher account for more than 86%, including 56 professors, associate professors-doctors, 85 doctors, 225 masters...
The oldest delegate at this Congress is Major General Vo So, Chairman of the Vietnam Truong Son-Ho Chi Minh Trail Tradition Association, 95 years old; the youngest delegate, born in 2004, is Ms. Thi Ha, a representative individual of the Stieng ethnic group, Phu Nghia commune, Bu Gia Map district, Binh Phuoc province.

Following the working program, the Congress listened to the draft Report reviewing the activities of the Central Committee, the Presidium and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th tenure, 2019-2024 term; listened to the Presentation, discussed and approved the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (amended).
Earlier, the same morning, delegates visited the Mausoleum. President Ho Chi Minh; offered incense at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs of Bac Son.
