According to local reports, due to the impact of storm No. 13, Song Cau ward experienced prolonged heavy rain, with a risk of local flooding in residential groups.
Implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the People's Committee of Song Cau ward has issued many documents and synchronously deployed measures to respond to storm No. 13.

Through screening, the entire ward has 426 households (1,082 people) located in areas at risk of deep flooding, isolation or unsafe housing.
The authorities have arranged evacuation sites at cultural houses, schools, public offices and solid houses; 92 high-risk households have been relocated to safe places.

The ward also fully prepared necessities for people during the time of sheltering and overcoming the consequences after the storm.
Militia, police, and army forces supported 50 households in Dan Phu 2 area to reinforce their houses. So far, the households have basically responded proactively.

Regarding boats, the entire ward has 102 fishing vessels that have been notified to anchor safely. The ward also coordinates with Xuan Dai and Xuan Hoa border guards to patrol, monitor, and strictly enforce the ban on sea. Currently, 96 boats have anchored safely in the Cu Mong area.
The ward also has 1,944 aquaculture households (89,723 cages and 3,091 rafts), which have been instructed to brace and anchor rafts, move people ashore, and strictly prohibit staying in cages and rafts when a storm is near the shore.

In addition, the ward conducts a review and prepares full equipment, barriers, warning ropes, and contracts for vehicle mobilization; at the same time, organizes dredging of sewers, checks drainage systems, trims trees, removes dangerous signs, etc. to ensure safety when the storm hits.
The ward has established 3 working groups led by leaders in charge of each key area, and issued 18 decisions to establish shock troops in residential groups. Propaganda and warning work has been widely deployed through the radio system and social networks, helping people to promptly grasp the storm's developments.

With the strong propaganda and reminders of the local government, the majority of people in Song Cau ward proactively placed their belongings on high places and moved them to safe places to avoid the storm.
Ms. Phan Thi Lien in Phuoc Ly residential group shared: "Hearing the news of a big storm, we tied up our houses and moved easily damaged items to higher places. I also collected necessary documents and items to evacuate according to the instructions of the local authorities."
After inspecting the locality, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Do Huu Huy highly appreciated the proactive and positive spirit of Song Cau ward authorities in responding to storms and floods.
He emphasized: “Ensuring people's safety is the top priority. Local authorities need to continue to review and resolutely evacuate people from areas at risk of being affected; to avoid unfortunate losses.”

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also requested functional agencies and local authorities to continue to closely monitor weather developments, maintain 24/7 staff on duty at key locations, prepare vehicles and materials; promptly support people to overcome damage and stabilize their lives after the storm.
