The Vice President extends New Year greetings to families receiving preferential treatment in Quang Nam.

On this occasion, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented 400 gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor people, and laborers; donated 200 million VND to disadvantaged children; and provided 500 million VND to support the construction of charitable houses in Quang Nam .

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan extended New Year greetings to all officials and people of Quang Nam province.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan said she was deeply moved every time she visited the officials and people of Quang Nam, a land of unwavering courage and resilience in the struggle to defend the homeland. Quang Nam is also a place that has suffered many sacrifices and losses, and has the highest number of policy beneficiaries in the country, with over 45,500 people.

The Vice President particularly acknowledged the efforts of Quang Nam province in focusing on caring for the lives of policy beneficiary families and those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution over the years, and expressed the hope that the locality would continue to do well in the work of showing gratitude and improving the lives of policy beneficiary families and those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution.

Sharing further information at the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan said that in 2023, the country's economic growth was at a relatively high level in the region, budget revenue exceeded targets, many sectors experienced high growth rates, raising the average per capita income of the whole country to over 100 million VND/year.

In particular, the government is focusing on developing transportation infrastructure and promoting investment attraction in many sectors, opening up many opportunities for comprehensive development across the country this year and in the years to come.

Also today, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan offered incense at the Monument to the Heroic Vietnamese Mother in Tam Phu commune, Tam Ky city; presented gifts to cancer patients undergoing treatment at the Oncology Department of Quang Nam Provincial General Hospital; visited and extended New Year greetings to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Tam (Ha Lam town, Thang Binh district); and visited and extended New Year greetings to Hero of the People's Armed Forces and War Invalids Tran Thi Cuc (Binh Nguyen commune, Thang Binh district).
