Kinhtedothi - In response to the "Green Weekend" in March 2025 and the "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful" emulation movement, on the morning of March 2nd, the Women's Union of 30 districts and counties in the city launched a general environmental cleanup campaign.
This activity also serves as a practical way to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi City Party Committee (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2025); the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8); the 1985th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising; and the 60th anniversary of the "Three Responsibilities" Women's Movement.
In Ba Dinh district, Nguyen Tuyet Trinh, Vice President of the Ba Dinh District Women's Union, said that recently, the District Women's Union and the wards have directed the Women's Union at all levels to organize propaganda and mobilization of officials, members and the people to carry out general cleaning on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings every week.

In particular, the "Garbage-Free Street/Road" model on main streets and central thoroughfares of wards in the district has been implemented synchronously by local associations throughout the district since the end of December 2024. After more than two months of vigorous implementation with various solutions and methods, these streets have become cleaner, with no more garbage on the roads and sidewalks.
In response to the "Green Weekend" in March 2025, female officials and members of 13 wards in the area launched a comprehensive environmental cleanup campaign in alleys and streets throughout the district.
At the program, women's association members in Ba Dinh district signed a commitment to sort waste at source, dispose of waste on time and in the designated places; regularly clean up the environment and maintain cleanliness around their homes and public areas...
Along with Ba Dinh district, the Women's Unions of Long Bien, Dong Da, Bac Tu Liem, Nam Tu Liem, Dong Anh, Gia Lam, Hoang Mai districts, etc., also simultaneously launched campaigns to carry out comprehensive environmental sanitation.
Below are some images of women in Hanoi participating in environmental sanitation, responding to the "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful" movement with activities including: cleaning and disposing of illegally dumped waste; clearing drains and canals; cleaning the environment around their homes; and effectively implementing the "3 clean" principles (clean house, clean alley, clean streets).
