(Dan Tri) - Without warning, Phung Khanh Linh surprised the audience when she appeared with an electric guitar, performing a new song at her music night.

On the evening of August 9, singer Phung Khanh Linh held the "Off the Record" concert in Ho Chi Minh City, marking the 4th leg of her mini tour around the provinces and cities of Vietnam. The auditorium with a capacity of about 700 people was filled, and the concert tickets were sold out many days in advance.

On stage, Phung Khanh Linh appeared with platinum hair and the personality image she has recently built. The female singer performed nearly 20 songs and for the first time performed a new song called Confiding in a Lonely Night .

While passionately performing a series of familiar hits, Phung Khanh Linh suddenly "disappeared" from the stage, then returned with an electric guitar in hand. She accompanied herself and performed a new song, making the audience burst into tears.

Phung Khanh Linh said that releasing the song right on the show night was her way of increasing direct connection with fans, making the audience attending the concert the first to experience the new song.

This is composed by Phung Khanh Linh, co-produced with Carson Hogan (member of indie rock band The Wildlife) and Blossom (who produced the previous two songs "Uoc anh tan tan con tim" and "Em dau").

The song has an alternative pop sound mixed with a bit of indie rock, is a quiet narrative, recording lonely moments in the middle of a long sleepless night, when the female singer talks to herself about unsaid things and past love.

If the previous three songs, "Wish you broke my heart", "I hurt you " and "Koc Block" contained hurt and anger, the new song concludes the story with a contemplative, profound space, leading to liberation and peace.

Not only bringing a new song, the female singer also led fans through hits that left an impression in her career such as Summer Attic, Sayyed Lady, Kind Girl, Why Don't You Understand, Goi Tinh Em Roi Ve, Sai Gon Hug Em, Hom Nay Toi Buon...

The three songs "Uoc anh tan tan con tim", "Em dau " and "Khoc Blóck" were also performed live by her again, with the enthusiastic cheers of hundreds of audiences.
