(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of January 10th, at the City Theater Square, the People's Committee of Hong Bang District organized a campaign to ensure traffic safety, sidewalk order, environmental hygiene, and civilized urban living during the New Year, Lunar New Year (Year of the Dragon), and Spring Festival 2024.

The campaign aims to raise awareness and encourage the public to strictly comply with regulations on traffic safety, sidewalk order, environmental sanitation, and civilized urban living, creating a clear improvement in traffic safety, sidewalk order, environmental sanitation, and civilized urban living, ensuring clear roads and sidewalks, and urban aesthetics during the New Year, Lunar New Year (Year of the Dragon), and Spring Festival 2024. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen the dissemination of traffic safety laws, including the prohibition of speeding, contributing to maintaining the habit of "If you have drunk alcohol or beer, do not drive"; avoiding reckless driving and overtaking; not carrying more passengers than permitted; wearing standard helmets when riding motorcycles, scooters, and electric bicycles; and preventing accidents at railway crossings and inland waterways... Transport businesses are required to strictly comply with legal regulations on ensuring traffic safety and order. Regular campaigns should be organized to restore order and discipline in the management and use of urban roads, sidewalks, and traffic safety corridors. Increased inspections and handling of construction violations on roads currently in operation should be implemented, and contractors should be urged to fully implement measures to ensure traffic safety and prevent congestion during construction, with strict penalties for contractors who fail to comply. Preventing illegal street racing and reckless driving; organizing patrols and checkpoints to inspect and handle violations of traffic safety regulations, including speeding, drunk driving, driving against the flow of traffic, and illegal racing.
