According to the report of the standing agency, in recent days, the area from Da Nang City to the North of Quang Ngai Province has had an average rainfall of 191.8mm to 537.8mm, causing floods on rivers to rise, many places reaching alert level 3, causing flooding at 32 points in 24 communes and landslides at 34 points in 15 communes. In this situation, the Military Region's armed forces have proactively deployed response plans, mobilizing thousands of officers, soldiers, militia and vehicles to key areas to support the government and people in evacuating, overcoming the consequences, ensuring the safety of life and property of the State and people.

Colonel Luong Dinh Chung spoke.

Concluding the conference, Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai requested that agencies and units in the entire Military Region thoroughly grasp the "4 on-site" motto (on-site command, on-site forces, on-site means and on-site logistics), considering this as the foundation for proactive response, minimizing damage and soon restoring people's lives. Units must grasp the weather situation, clearly identify high-risk areas, proactively arrange forces and means, and closely coordinate with local Party committees and authorities. At the same time, strengthen propaganda and mobilization work, raise vigilance, proactively prevent, and absolutely not be passive and surprised in any situation.

Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai especially noted that during the mission, units must ensure absolute safety for people and vehicles, especially when performing tasks at night, in areas with difficult terrain; proactively stock up on enough food, drinking water, medicine, and logistical equipment for forces directly participating in rescue. After the flood, units coordinate with localities to organize disinfection spraying, medical examination and treatment, repair traffic infrastructure, schools, and clinics, helping people to soon stabilize their lives and restore production.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Luong Dinh Chung praised the sense of responsibility, discipline and initiative of the Military Command of Da Nang City and Quang Ngai Province, along with units across the area that have closely followed the base, effectively coordinated with local authorities, promptly deployed measures to respond to floods, contributing to protecting the safety of people's lives and property. The Political Commissar of Military Region 5 emphasized: "In any circumstance, the image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers - Soldiers of Region 5" always shines brightly because of the spirit of dedication for the people, not afraid of hardships and dangers. Every action, every specific work in difficult times is a measure of the mettle, quality and trust of the people for the Army".

Colonel Luong Dinh Chung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 5, visited and inspected the people-helping force of Regiment 971 in Tay An village, Hoa Xuan ward.
