Military Region 9: Handing over "Comrades' House" and "House of Gratitude"

(DTO) As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Armed Forces Tradition Day of Military Region 9 (December 10, 1945 - December 10, 2025), on December 4, authorized by the Military Region 9 Command, the Provincial Military Command organized a handover ceremony of "Houses of Gratitude" and "Houses of Comrades" to policy families and soldiers with difficult housing circumstances in Dong Thap province.

The "Comrades' House" was handed over to the family of Senior Lieutenant Huynh Thanh Chi Linh, Assistant to the Militia and Self-Defense Force, Staff Department, Provincial Military Command, residing in Hamlet 7, Ba Sao Commune. The house has a usable area of ​​90 m2 , solid and spacious structure with brick walls, corrugated iron roof, and ceramic tiled floor. The value is more than 170 million VND, of which the Military Region 9 Command supported 60 million VND, the remaining amount was contributed by the family.

Colonel Tran Van Hien, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, together with local Party Committee and authorities, presented gifts to congratulate the family of Senior Lieutenant Huynh Thanh Chi Linh on receiving a new house.

The "House of Gratitude" was handed over to Mr. Nguyen Van Khai's family, Hamlet 1, Thanh Hung Commune, a policy beneficiary with difficult housing circumstances. After nearly 2 months of construction, the house has now been completed and handed over in joy and excitement. Mr. Khai's family's house has an area of ​​over 75 m2 , with a total cost of 150 million VND, of which the Military Region 9 Command supported 60 million VND, the remaining amount was saved by the family.

Colonel Cao Van Thao, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, together with local Party Committee and authorities, congratulated Mr. Nguyen Van Khai's family on receiving a new house.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, the Head of the Provincial Military Command congratulated the two families on having new, spacious and warm houses and hoped that these spacious and warm houses would be the motivation and joy to help the families feel more confident in life, develop the economy and carry out patriotic emulation movements in the locality well.

The Head of the Provincial Military Command affirmed that the support for building "Houses of Gratitude" and "Houses for Comrades" not only has humanistic meaning, but also clearly demonstrates the concern and responsibility of Party committees and commanders at all levels for policy families and soldiers with difficult housing circumstances.

At the same time, this is a meaningful and practical project, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Military Region 9's Armed Forces Tradition Day; thereby showing gratitude and taking care of families with preferential policies to stabilize their lives, fostering military-civilian solidarity, contributing to the good implementation of the "Repaying gratitude" policy of the Party, State and Army.
