Quang Ngai: Strengthening supervision and improving the effectiveness of implementing the Sustainable Poverty Reduction Program

At the meeting, representatives of the Economic Department of Tu Mo Rong commune reported on the results of the implementation of the poverty reduction program in 2025, clearly stating the progress of disbursement of capital sources, the results of implementing production support projects, poverty reduction models, communication work, poor household review, as well as the advantages, difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process. In the spirit of frankness and responsibility, members of the Commune Steering Committee also recommended and proposed many solutions to improve the effectiveness of the program in the coming period.

Through the work, the Supervisory Delegation highly appreciated the efforts of the Party Committee and the communal government in organizing the implementation of poverty reduction policies, and at the same time discussed and analyzed the limited indicators, especially the progress of capital disbursement and the effectiveness of replicating livelihood models. The Delegation also suggested many key solutions such as: speeding up the progress of implementation and disbursement of support resources; reviewing and accurately updating the list of poor and near-poor households; increasing technical support and production guidance for people; and at the same time improving the quality of supervision at the grassroots level to ensure publicity, transparency and the right beneficiaries.

Concluding the working session, Deputy Head of the Rural Development Sub-Department, Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ngai province Trinh Van Son acknowledged the sense of responsibility and initial results of the Steering Committee of Tu Mo Rong commune. At the same time, he requested the Commune People's Committee to direct more strongly in implementing the goal of sustainable poverty reduction; focus on developing livelihood models suitable to local conditions; urgently complete disbursement on schedule; accurately review beneficiaries, overcome shortcomings and limitations so that the program achieves real effectiveness, contributing to improving people's lives.

Previously, the Supervisory Team inspected a number of models in the area such as the coffee growing model in Kon Tun Cu village, the model of beautifying both sides of the road, the drainage system in the central area of the commune and Dak Te stream bridge, to visually assess the results of program implementation at the grassroots level.
