According to Mr. Phan Quang Duc, currently there is heavy to very heavy rain in the area, in order to cope with rain and landslides, local authorities continue to ask people in the landslide-prone area of Go Oat mountain to evacuate to a safe place. The number of households in the landslide-prone area is 61, with 216 people.
The Chairman of the Commune People's Committee has directed local authorities to proactively evacuate people to safe gathering places such as the Village Cultural House (Ba Lang and Hoc Do), living together with households with solid houses.

In cases where organizations and individuals refuse to evacuate, the locality will enforce evacuation and have plans to protect people's property during evacuation...

Regarding the Go Oat mountain area, in mid-October 2025, the People's Committee of the commune surveyed and discovered 2 points at risk of landslides, with abnormal underground water flows and cracks appearing on the mountain slopes with a length of 10m, 0.6m wide, about 1m deep, surrounded by many large rocks scattered around. According to the People's Committee of Ba Vinh commune, if a landslide occurs, rocks and soil from this area can roll down, posing a danger to the residential area below.


On the morning of October 27, Ba Vinh commune proactively let students stay home from school. Currently, some spillways in the commune are flooded.

Prolonged heavy rain has submerged many vegetable fields of farmers in village 6, An Phu commune, Quang Ngai province. People are trying to salvage to minimize damage.
In the vegetable growing areas of village 6, An Phu commune (Quang Ngai province), prolonged heavy rains have submerged many vegetable fields. Many people braved the rain to harvest, salvage every remaining row of vegetables, and load them onto trucks to take home, hoping to earn some capital.

Ms. Cao Thi Lieu in village 6, An Phu commune said: "My family grows nearly 1 hectare, mainly lettuce, now it's all flooded. I called the traders to ask them to help buy. Generally, we have been in business for a long time, so we try to buy to reduce losses."


Not far away, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan was also wading through the vegetable field. More than 3 sao of lettuce, Vietnamese coriander, and sweet potato leaves were submerged in water. Mrs. Xuan said: "Just scoop out as much as you can, otherwise if you let the water soak for longer, everything will be ruined."


Mr. Cao Co (village 6, An Phu commune) is also worried in the middle of a flooded vegetable field, 2 sao of basil and okra are submerged in water. “During the rainy season, vegetable prices are already unstable, now with flooding like this, it is considered a total loss. To grow that much vegetable, I had to spend millions of dong to buy seeds and fertilizer, not counting the care, now…”, Mr. Co sighed.
Quang Ngai Province Irrigation Department informed that as of noon on October 27, many localities had organized evacuations. In Dak Plo commune, local authorities had organized the evacuation of 26 households/116 people in Bung Ton village (the area affected by landslides and flash floods).
In Tay Tra Bong commune, 80 households/132 people in the villages of Tay, Vang, Tra Linh, Tra Van, Ca Dam, Bac Duong, Tre, and areas at risk of landslides and flash floods were also evacuated to safe places.
Regarding the routes, National Highway 14 ( Ho Chi Minh Road) at Km 1403, Km 1430+300 and Km 1344+400 has landslides and is at risk of further landslides; Provincial Road 673 has landslides at many points, including the flood avoidance section managed and implemented by the Hydropower Plant. Many inter-commune roads have landslides, mainly concentrated in the western communes of Quang Ngai province.
