Located in the central area of Bai Sau, Vung Tau beach, Tam Thang square is part of the project to renovate Thuy Van and Bai Sau Vung Tau roads, 3.2km long - a key project with the largest investment in Vung Tau ward, to serve people's lives and develop tourism .
The square with Tam Thang tower is considered a new symbol at Back Beach, Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City.
Tam Thang Tower in Vung Tau has 143 pillars.
Tam Thang Tower is located in the project and is the highlight of the square and is designed to become a new symbol of Vung Tau.
The tower consists of 143 pillars, with heights ranging from 4.55m to over 34.25m, arranged in increasing elevation towards the sea.
The overall shape of Tam Thang Tower is inspired by the image of three strong boat heads, rising high in the vast space, recreating the historical story of the three villages Thang Nhat, Thang Nhi and Thang Tam - names associated with the task of protecting the sea and islands since the time of King Gia Long.
According to the project investor, in addition to the inspiring structure created from reinforced concrete pillars, Tam Thang Tower also has a special visual effect thanks to the mosaic ceramic tile surface, reflecting shimmering light when lights or sunlight shine on it.
At night, Tam Thang Tower becomes splendid in colorful LED lights, creating a magical artistic space. Columns of different sizes, heights and lows are arranged to create the effect of a forest of light.
At the same time, each pillar also evokes the image of warriors on the Tam Thang boat in the past, standing tall against the storm, affirming the resilient and indomitable spirit of this historic land.
