Launching Francophone University Cooperation Space in Ho Chi Minh City

On the morning of November 4, the Francophone University Organization (AUF) and Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine signed a framework agreement on cooperation to develop the Francophone University Cooperation Space in Ho Chi Minh City.

This space is located in area A2 Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine.

The Francophone University Cooperation Space (EIF) includes two specialized parts of the AUF: the FrancophoneEducational Technology Center (CNF) 5.0 and the Francophone Career Center (CEF).

Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Slim Khalbous said: "The Francophone university cooperation space in Ho Chi Minh City is a place to connect and help universities expand their cooperative relationships with businesses and socio-political organizations, to enhance the ability to find jobs and develop the entrepreneurial spirit of graduates."

Part of a network of more than 60 CNF 5.0 and CEF Centers around the world, including 10 CEFs and 5 CNF 5.0s in Asia- Pacific , the Francophone University Cooperation Space in Ho Chi Minh City, with two divisions CNF 5.0 and CEF, is equipped with a modern, mobile, and comfortable technological environment, serving the needs of all member higher education and research institutions as well as partners of AUF.

"It will be a model, an attractive meeting place, an open and friendly welcoming space for all those who know French or love French in the Francophone scientific community of the region.

We want to turn the Francophone University Cooperation Space in Ho Chi Minh City into a place where all interested people can use to develop different opportunities in all fields. Especially in supporting the application of educational technology and transferring scientific research," said Professor Slim Khalbous.

On the afternoon of November 4, AUF, in coordination with the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City, will organize an international workshop on "Training high-quality human resources to serve the smart urban development strategy: international experience, cooperation potential, implementation solutions".

The 2nd Congress of the Conference of Rectors of Asia-Pacific Region (C2R-AP), jointly organized by AUF and Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, will take place on November 5.

The AUF, founded more than 60 years ago, is today the world's largest university network with more than 1,000 members: universities, colleges and research centers in nearly 120 countries.

AUF works to build a Francophone university community committed to contributing to the economic, cultural and social development of countries and regions. AUF is present in 10 regions around the world, including the Asia-Pacific region.

Established in Hanoi in 1993, the AUF Asia-Pacific regional board of directors operates a network of 86 member institutions (universities, colleges and research centres), distributed in 12 countries: Cambodia, China, Korea, India, Fiji, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Thailand, Vanuatu and Vietnam.
