Quang Ninh press always accompanies the development of the province and the country, reflecting the advantages, difficulties, good models, and effective methods in many aspects. However, if it only stops at transmitting information without the heart and virtue of the writer, the positive spread of the press will hardly be sustainable. Therefore, training in journalistic ethics is considered an inherent need of each Quang Ninh journalist. Press agencies and the Provincial Journalists Association regularly organize political activities, seminars, and study documents about President Ho Chi Minh, about standards, codes of journalistic ethics, the Press Law, etc. Thereby perfecting the political capacity, conscience, and responsibility of each journalist in the face of current events.
Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style on journalistic style and ethics is carried out practically, linked to daily work. Reporters and editors of the Provincial Media Center always consider studying and following Uncle Ho as a need for self-improvement, aiming for standards of political courage, professional talent, and media culture, through quality, attractive press products, objectively reflecting the "flow" of local current events.
Political activities, seminars, and study of documents on Ho Chi Minh's ideology and the Press Law are regularly held at the Center. Through these activities, each journalist has a deeper understanding of his or her own responsibilities, knows how to "write and reflect" to convey the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the people, and at the same time directs public opinion to positive thoughts, feasible solutions, and consensus with the Party and State's policies and guidelines. Reporters and editors always stick to reality and the grassroots, and go to difficult places where there are unresolved problems, where there are production models, economic practices, and cultural and social development that have achieved results, to objectively and multi-dimensionally reflect the rise of Quang Ninh.
Journalists at the Center always join hands and complete assigned political tasks, promptly inform the Party's policies and the State's laws; convey the people's thoughts and aspirations; praise good people and good deeds; criticize negative manifestations and those who have not truly fulfilled their responsibilities... Reporter Pham Van Tang (Current Affairs Department, Provincial Media Center) shared: For journalists, learning and following Uncle Ho means learning the way of living, thinking, and writing that Uncle Ho always kept in mind, which is objective, honest, and oriented towards positive things, models, and inspiring examples, thereby spreading positive values and the community's strength. Learning from Uncle Ho means perfecting oneself every day, knowing how to struggle with the difficulties of life, knowing how to struggle at the grassroots level, knowing how to accurately and attractively convey the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State, turning the power of the media into a driving force for development in Quang Ninh.
In the digital age, social networking platforms are developing explosively as they are today, along with the advantages and active support in propaganda work, journalists are always faced with multi-dimensional information streams "mixed with truth and falsehood", reactionary tricks, distorted arguments... If they are not politically steadfast, only have talent but lack morality, journalists will not fulfill their responsibilities. Realizing this, in recent times, the Provincial Journalists Association has always paid attention to organizing training courses on politics, profession, traditional culture, journalism culture..., thereby helping each journalist understand the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, improve knowledge, and accumulate more experience. Learning and training are always linked to practical requirements, suitable for the needs of the digital media era.
Following Uncle Ho's teachings: “The press, like officials, if they only know how to follow directions and praise or only know how to criticize and scrutinize, they have not yet fulfilled their task of guiding and encouraging... ” Quang Ninh journalists clearly understand that only by knowing how to be harmonious, objective, and analytical, reflecting in a multi-dimensional, objective, and humane manner, will journalism be able to fulfill its mission. Journalists always think and find ways to reflect the difficulties and contradictions in reality through an objective lens, aiming for positive and harmonious solutions, replacing one-sided criticism with objective analysis, encouragement, motivation, and giving more strength to the community.
Young journalists in Quang Ninh are always imparted experiences and lessons from the previous generation, veteran journalists, those who love their profession and are dedicated to the media career. Organizing seminars, training courses, practical experience sharing sessions, professional competitions... is a way to "pass on the fire", transmit youth, passion, and strength to continue the "flow" of Quang Ninh journalism. Practicing journalistic ethics in conjunction with learning and following Uncle Ho is for each journalist to fulfill the mission of conveying authentic, objective, and attractive information, aiming at positive values...
