Roblox is about to be officially released in Vietnam through VNG.

DNVN - On May 11th, at the Vietnam Game Festival (Gameverse) 2024, VNG and Roblox officially announced their collaboration in the Vietnamese market.

Accordingly, VNG will become the official publisher of Roblox – a popular online gaming and virtual world building platform in the Vietnamese market. Roblox is expected to be officially released in Vietnam this summer on iOS and Android platforms.

Vietnam is an important market for Roblox, and we are committed to providing the best experiences for users in Vietnam,” said Zhen Fang, International Market Director, Roblox.

According to Mr. La Xuan Thang, Director of Online Game Publishing at VNG Corporation, Roblox is a game creation platform that attracts millions of users worldwide, including Vietnam. The collaboration between VNG and Roblox aligns with Roblox's global community standards and will provide the best possible experience for Vietnamese users.

VNG will become the official publisher of Roblox.

In addition, VNG will work with Roblox to build a creative community for game development on this platform, aiming to promote the software programming trend among young people. We believe this collaboration is a significant milestone showing that the Vietnamese market is an attractive destination for leading global game companies, like Roblox.

With its market advantages, the gaming industry is identified as a key sector driving breakthrough economic development in Vietnam. According to official statistics, in Vietnam alone, the gaming industry is experiencing rapid growth, with revenue exceeding $500 million, ranking 5th in Southeast Asia. More than half of Vietnam's population has access to gaming as a form of entertainment.

According to VNG, the company will also partner with GameHub as an advisory board member. GameHub – a program that seeks and attracts investment in promising game projects – is also one of the highlights of this year's event.

Joining the judging panel alongside Google and Meta, VNG will collaborate with GameHub in conducting expert evaluations and providing specific advice on the direction and roadmap for companies to improve and develop their products. With years of experience in the market, VNG is committed to building a strong Vietnamese game ecosystem, thereby promoting the potential of the Vietnamese game industry to become a leading economic sector in the future.

During the two days of the Vietnam Game Festival 2024, VNG will also collaborate with the organizers to bring many experiential activities and give away gifts to visitors at their booth.

Currently, VNG has 9 game studios in Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and game studios in the region such as Bangkok, Beijing, Jakarta, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei.
