A place once filled with trash and overgrown with weeds has now been transformed into a stunning field of yellow daisies on the Red River alluvial plain right at the foot of Long Bien Bridge (Phuc Xa, Hanoi). Over the weekend, many young people flocked there to take photos and check in.
Located right at the foot of Long Bien Bridge, the Red River alluvial plain – a place where waste was frequently dumped – has now been transformed into a stunning field of yellow butterfly daisies, attracting many locals and tourists to admire the flowers and take photos.
The land, once submerged in water due to flooding caused by Typhoon Yagi , has been transformed into a vibrant field of yellow daisies in just over a month of renovation, becoming a popular spot for people to take photos and visit.
The flower fields attract many locals and photographers who come to take pictures and create artwork.
Currently, there are no service fees in this area; entry to the flower field is free. People only have to pay a parking fee of 5,000 VND per motorbike and approximately 30,000 VND per car.
The flower grown here is the yellow butterfly daisy, a very slender herbaceous plant that grows in clumps, reaching a height of 60-80 cm.
The yellow butterfly daisy is a wild flower that prefers sunlight but can tolerate partial shade. It is particularly drought-tolerant.
Many young people flocked to the location to check in and take photos on the afternoon of October 27th.
The thriving yellow cosmos flowers are transforming the landscape beneath the Long Bien Bridge, a place previously rarely visited by locals due to litter and discarded needles.
According to the leaders of Phuc Xa ward, the flower dock project is being implemented at the location where 100 households were relocated in the middle of the riverbank. The project was submitted and approved for implementation in May 2024, but due to the impact of typhoon No. 3, it can only be implemented now.
"We are planting rapeseed flowers and expect them to bloom this winter," he added.
According to the plan, Ba Dinh district aims to develop tourism in the Red River belt area, specifically the mid-river sandbank area. The flower wharf project in Phuc Xa ward is being implemented entirely with socialized capital.
