Saigon Beer, Alcohol and Beverage Joint Stock Company ( SABECO ) has implemented post-disaster relief activities for six northern provinces affected by Typhoon Yagi, through cooperation with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (Central Committee of the Youth Union), local authorities, and the company's media and business partners. With a total value of over 4.2 billion VND, the support program, coordinated by
SABECO and other parties, aims to provide essential goods and food to flood victims in Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, and
Yen Bai . The estimated value of support for each province is 650,560,000 VND. In addition, the program also provides financial support of 50,000,000 VND to frontline forces involved in post-typhoon recovery efforts in each province.
Representatives from SABECO presented a donation to the Central Committee of the Youth Union to support efforts to mitigate the damage caused by Typhoon Yagi . The total estimated value of the support is over 4.2 billion VND, allocated to 6 provinces.
Support goods such as bottled water, food, and flashlights, provided by MM Mega supermarket and Chuong Duong Beverage Company, will be distributed to the people by local authorities and provincial youth union members.
Prioritizing employee safety and business stability: With 44 member companies and over 12,000 employees in the system, SABECO is committed to ensuring the safety and health of its staff, especially at companies and factories under the management of Saigon Beer Northeast Trading Company and Saigon Beer Northern Trading Company that were directly affected by Typhoon Yagi. During the affected period, the Executive Board, together with the SABECO Trade Union and relevant departments, are working together to: Firstly, ensure the safety of employees and their families. In addition, assess the condition of local facilities and infrastructure. Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services. Finally, continue supplying products to businesses in need of reconstruction.
SABECO employees also demonstrated solidarity and joined hands in community relief efforts by participating in an internal fundraising program organized by the SABECO Trade Union, to share with employees in affected areas.
