SABECO's 150-year heritage journey spreads and connects communities across the country

(Dan Tri) - SABECO concluded the campaign "150 years of heritage rising high" after nearly 3 months of spreading values, connecting more than 16,000 people from the South to the North and honoring 15 inspirational faces across the country.

On the afternoon of December 5, Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation ( SABECO ) officially concluded the campaign "150 years of heritage rising high".

According to SABECO, this is a meaningful journey that goes beyond a simple commemorative campaign, aiming to promote community connection, honor proud heritage and spread the good values ​​of solidarity, resilience and compassion across the country.

Spreading heritage, connecting communities from South to North

After nearly 3 months of implementation, the campaign has traveled more than 2,200km from the South to the North, connecting more than 16,000 people in localities through community interaction activities and meaningful initiatives deployed in many localities across the country, contributing to honoring the values ​​that SABECO pursues on its 150-year journey of development with the country.

The series of activities "Heritage Journey" with a red double-decker bus passing through 9 locations from South to North attracted more than 10,000 participants, with many meaningful activities to honor heritage and connect the community.

More than 4,200 people had the opportunity to learn about waste classification and recycling through the automatic can and bottle processing model.

Along with that, the series of events "Heritage Night" also contributed to spreading pride and connecting the community, with more than 6,000 people in 3 provinces and cities coming together to honor the heritage and beauty of local culture at vibrant music nights.

SABECO's three iconic beer brands, Saigon Beer, 333 Beer and Lac Viet Beer, were also present throughout this journey, representing SABECO's proud heritage.

Mr. Lester Tan, General Director of SABECO, shared that the event has two important meanings. This is a milestone to close the series of activities to celebrate SABECO's 150th anniversary and to honor 15 outstanding individuals of the "Honoring the Torchbearers" Award.

Both of these meanings reflect a common spirit of us reaching out together and constantly striving for better things for the country.

Mr. Lester Tan said that in the past 3 months, the series of activities “Heritage Journey” has traveled more than 2,200km from South to North, connecting more than 16,000 people across the country. SABECO has provided local people with spaces not only to celebrate but also to express the spirit of sharing and connection.

"At every stop, we felt the warmth of the community, the pride of our heritage and the joy of connection. The 150th anniversary celebrations are not just events, but also a reminder that SABECO's legacy is built on the bond and trust with the Vietnamese people," he shared.

SABECO's General Director said that the company's campaign activities had concluded with positive results, not only honoring SABECO's heritage but also spreading positive values ​​of solidarity, sharing and resilience.

“SABECO affirms its commitment to continuous innovation for sustainable development, and always accompanies the Vietnamese people on the journey to rise with the country,” he affirmed.

In that spirit, at the event, SABECO and Vietnam Beverage Company Limited (VietBev) donated VND1.5 billion through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support local communities in the South Central region to rebuild their lives after the damage caused by recent storms and floods.

Previously, SABECO also supported 3 billion VND to help people overcome damage and stabilize their lives after natural disasters and floods.

Honoring 15 outstanding and inspirational faces

Standing out within the framework of the activities of the journey “150 years of rising heritage” is the award “Honoring the Torchbearer” organized by SABECO in collaboration with Dai Doan Ket newspaper, with the direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

This is a typical highlight that demonstrates the resilient spirit and desire to constantly improve that SABECO pursues.

With the theme “Vietnamese People - People who inspire the country's progress”, the award selects 150 inspirational faces from different localities, fields and regions.

From 150 inspirational faces, the Jury selected 15 most outstanding faces to be honored at the national level at today's ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - said that during the implementation of the 'Honoring the Torchbearer' award, the organizing committee has witnessed many beautiful and inspiring stories from all over the country.
