The highlight of the Run To Live - Run for Life 2025 race is that the organizers have doubled the special prize for athletes who surpass the national record in the 21 km distance for men and 21 km for women compared to last year. The prize money that athletes receive when surpassing the national record for the 21 km distance is 400 million VND (200 million VND for men and 200 million VND for women). The national record for the 21 km distance for men is currently held by Hoang Nguyen Thanh with a time of 1 hour 06 minutes 39 seconds, while the record for the 21 km distance for women is 1 hour 13 minutes 22 seconds belonging to Nguyen Thi Oanh.

According to information from the organizers, Hoang Nguyen Thanh will compete in the Run To Live - Run for Life 2025 and is the leading candidate for the title of men's 21 km champion. If he performs well, Hoang Nguyen Thanh also promises to break the record to win the "jackpot" prize. In the women's 21 km category, there is a notable presence, Pham Thi Hong Le.
