Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Run To Live - Run for Life 2025 race held today in Thu Duc City, Mr. Nguyen Nam Nhan - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, said that in its second year, the race has reached the milestone of 10,000 registered athletes. This shows the prestige and appeal of the race to the running community. With thorough, meticulous, and professional preparation from the organizing committee and coordinating units, this year's race promises to be a success and bring satisfaction to the athletes.

A highlight of the Run To Live 2025 race is that the organizers have doubled the special prize money for athletes who break the national record in the 21km men's and women's races compared to last year. The prize money for breaking the national record in the 21km race is 400 million VND (200 million VND for men, 200 million VND for women). The current national record for the men's 21km race is held by Hoang Nguyen Thanh with a time of 1 hour 06 minutes 39 seconds, while the women's record is 1 hour 13 minutes 22 seconds, held by Nguyen Thi Oanh.

According to the organizers, Hoang Nguyen Thanh will compete in the Run To Live - Run for Life 2025 race and is a leading contender for the men's 21km title. If he performs well, Hoang Nguyen Thanh also promises to break the record and win the grand prize. In the women's 21km event, Pham Thi Hong Le is another notable competitor.

In addition to the special prize for the 21km race, the organizers also awarded 18 overall prizes for the 5km, 10km, and 21km races; 24 age group prizes; and other prizes such as cosplay, couple, and team awards. The event was co-organized by Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper , the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, Miracle Entertainment Group, and the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Development Management Board.
