After winning the women's 500m double sculls event, bringing home the first gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 33rd SEA Games, Nguyen Thi Huong and Diep Thi Huong were awarded a bonus of 10 million VND by the Head of Delegation, Nguyen Hong Minh. The Canoe and Kayak events at the 33rd SEA Games were held at the Royal Thai Navy Rowing and Canoeing Training Centre in Rayong.

Shortly afterwards, in the final of the mixed team creative poomsae event in Taekwondo, the Vietnamese athletes, including Le Tran Kim Uyen, Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Tran Dang Khoa, Tran Ho Duy, Nguyen Thi Y Binh, and Nguyen Phan Khanh Han, achieved 8,060 points. With this result, the Vietnamese team excellently surpassed the host team Thailand (7,940 points) and the Philippines (7,580 points) to win the Gold Medal.
This is the second gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 33rd SEA Games. At the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia, Vietnamese athletes also won a gold medal in this event.

*Earlier on the morning of December 10th, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department and Head of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 33rd SEA Games, visited and encouraged the Vietnamese women's football team before their crucial match against the Myanmar women's team, which will take place at 4 PM on December 11th at Chonburi Stadium, Thailand.
Addressing the players, Coach Nguyen Hong Minh emphasized: “The whole team should maintain their spirits, forget about the less-than-ideal aspects of the previous match, and approach tomorrow's game with the highest determination. I wish the entire coaching staff and players success and the best possible results in this tournament.”
At the meeting, coach Mai Duc Chung reported on the overall situation of the team, stating that despite facing some difficulties, the players are all in good health, have no injuries, high morale, and are determined to win tomorrow's match.
On the afternoon of December 10th, the Vietnamese women's national team will hold a training session at Legend Academy Stadium at 4 PM to acclimatize to the early match time, aiming to best prepare for the important match following their two games at 6:30 PM. This training session will also help the players adapt to the new playing conditions, maintain their form, and uphold the highest level of fighting spirit.
