As the SEA Games gradually enters its acceleration phase, Vietnam's strong sports disciplines are becoming increasingly prominent alongside athletics and swimming. Shooting, a prime example, has always been considered a "gold mine" for Vietnam at every edition of the Games.

On the opening day of the shooting competition at the SEA Games, shooter Le Thi Mong Tuyen "opened the scoring" with a gold medal in the mixed rifle event - with teammate Nguyen Tam Quang. And in the coming days, shooting promises to be even more explosive when continental champions like Trinh Thu Vinh and Pham Quang Huy take to the field.

In addition, there are a series of martial arts – which have always been a strength of Vietnamese sports. Today, a series of judo finals will take place in various sparring events, promising a "shower of gold medals" for Vietnam.

Besides judo, karate – a sport that brought Vietnam 6 gold medals at the 2023 SEA Games – also had its finals in 4 events today. Alongside that was wushu with 2 performance events.
