The music event brought together talented and renowned artists, including saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan, bamboo flutist Tran Khanh Tuong, singers Duc Tuan, Ngoc Khue, Dao Mac, Bach Tra, Xuan Dinh KY, and DJ Huy Ngo. Notably, the concert also featured international artist Akari Nakatani – the "muse" in the film "Em and Trinh".
The highlight that makes Hue Symphony so appealing is the unique combination of symphony orchestra and traditional Vietnamese instruments. Under the direction of the talented conductor Dustin Tieu and with arrangements by composer Tran Manh Hung, world classical works, Hue melodies, court music, and the music of Trinh Cong Son are subtly blended to create a colorful and emotional sonic feast.

Saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan performed the song "Ha Trang" at Hue Symphony.
Lasting over two hours, the Hue Symphony concert was structured into four chapters: The Encounter Between East and West; The Heroic Melody of Binh Tri Thien; The Symphony of the Ancient Capital; and Hue and Trinh Cong Son, taking the audience through a range of different emotions.
"The Meeting of East and West" opened the evening with a spectacular and emotional performance, a collaboration between the Hue Royal Court Music Orchestra, the IPO Orchestra, and the Hue Academy of Music. This was a unique musical dialogue between East and West, between tradition and modernity, creating an unprecedented and exceptional symphony. Following this, the renowned Vivaldi Four Seasons Suite resonated, subtly introducing Hue – the city of festivals with its continuous celebrations throughout the four seasons.
Chapter 2, "The Heroic Song of Binh Tri Thien," presents the audience with poignant songs about this heroic land, including "The Song by the Hien Luong River" sung with powerful vocals by Bach Tra, and "Binh Tri Thien in the Flames of War" and "Hue - Saigon - Hanoi" sung by Dao Mac. These songs serve as a tribute and expression of gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
Chapter 3, "The Symphony of the Ancient Capital," opens with a gentle Hue folk song, inviting the audience into the world of traditional Hue music. Bach Tra reappears on stage, but this time she not only sings but also performs the traditional cup dance while singing "Ly Ngua O." The renowned bamboo flute artist Tran Khanh Tuong performs "Rain on Hue Streets."
The highlight of this chapter was the performance by the modern symphony orchestra, which surprised and delighted the audience by using Western instruments to perform pieces with a distinctly Eastern character, such as "Ly Muoi Thuong" and the quartet "Luu Thuy - Kim Tien - Xuan Phong - Long Ho". This combination not only showcased the creativity of the artists but also served as a testament to the cultural exchange between East and West.
