Scientific activities Update on artificial ventilation and care of patients with ventilators

On May 7, Phu Yen General Hospital in collaboration with Nipon Vietnam Co., Ltd. opened the scientific program Update on artificial ventilation and care of patients on ventilators. Master, Doctor Dang Thanh Tuan (Department of Surgical Resuscitation, Children's Hospital 1 (Ho Chi Minh City) was the main reporter in the program.

According to Dr. Tran Anh Dung, Director of Phu Yen General Hospital, artificial ventilation is a core technique in the treatment of critically ill patients. This training course is an opportunity for doctors and nurses to update their knowledge and share practical experiences, thereby improving the effectiveness of treatment and the quality of life for patients. The Director of Phu Yen General Hospital hopes that with a serious learning spirit and enthusiastic participation, the trainees will gain a lot of useful knowledge, thereby effectively applying it to practical work at the hospital.

Taking place over two days, May 7-8, the scientific activity program had nearly 150 doctors and nurses working at Phu Yen General Hospital, specialized hospitals, medical centers in the province and some doctors from Ngu Hanh Son District Medical Center, Da Nang City participating. The program included the following contents: structure, function, assembly and sterilization of ventilators; basic and advanced breathing parameters and modes; ventilator settings for patients with common diseases (respiratory, neurological, airway obstruction); parameter adjustment based on arterial blood gas and ventilator alarm handling.

The scientific activity program aims to update knowledge and improve professional capacity in the field of resuscitation and emergency care, especially in artificial ventilation techniques and care of patients on ventilators.
