Soc Trang rewards many collectives and individuals with achievements in highway construction.

On the afternoon of October 18, Mr. Lam Van Man, Secretary of Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee chaired a conference to summarize the 15-day and night peak emulation campaign to accelerate the construction progress of Component Project 4 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project, Phase 1.

This is also an opportunity for Soc Trang province to launch an emulation movement to speed up the construction progress of key projects and works of this locality to achieve achievements to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels, term 2025-2030.

Component project 4 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project Phase 1 has a total investment of VND 11,961 billion, with a total length of about 58.37 km.

Immediately after the People's Committee of Soc Trang province launched a 15-day and night peak to accelerate progress, departments, branches, investors and enterprises quickly issued plans and directive documents, widely deployed to cadres, civil servants, public employees, engineers, soldiers, workers and laborers at the construction site to ensure that the emulation contents and criteria are widely deployed and effective.

The output from August 15 to 31 of four packages reached 116 billion VND, achieving the set target and plan.

With the achievements, Soc Trang Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 5 groups and 10 individuals.

Construction of Component Project 4 in Soc Trang.

The Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway is more than 188km long, passing through four provinces and cities, with a total investment of nearly VND 44,700 billion, and started construction on June 17, 2023.

The expressway starts at Highway 91 in Chau Doc City, An Giang Province; and ends at Tran De Port, Soc Trang Province. Of which, the section passing through An Giang is nearly 57km long, Can Tho is nearly 38km, Hau Giang is about 37km, and more than 56km passes through Soc Trang Province.

In phase one, the project has four lanes, 17m wide, allowing vehicles to travel at 80km/h. When completed, the road surface will be expanded to more than 32m.
