Ms. Pham Thi Moi, owner of Co Moi Agricultural, Forestry, and Aquatic Products Processing Facility (Soc Trang), said that at this fair she brought candied shallots and salted crabs – products that have received OCOP certification from the province – to display and introduce. Participating in the fair will help more people learn about OCOP products, creating favorable conditions for finding customers and markets.
Mr. Hong Minh Nhat, Head of the Economic Department of Nga Nam town (Soc Trang province), informed that the entire town has 18 OCOP products (3 stars or higher) and 39 potential OCOP products. Attending this fair is an opportunity for businesses and manufacturers to promote their unique local products and share and learn from the experiences of other localities, thereby diversifying products to suit consumer tastes.
The 2023 Soc Trang OCOP and Regional Specialty Products Trade Promotion Fair features over 400 booths; including 300 general trade booths from businesses and production and trading establishments inside and outside the province, and 100 booths from units and businesses showcasing key agricultural products, specialties, and OCOP products from various regions across the country.
According to Lam Hoang Nghiep, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province: "This fair is an opportunity for businesses in Soc Trang province in particular and localities nationwide in general to introduce OCOP products and quality products to consumers, contributing to the campaign 'Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods'."
In addition, the fair provides an opportunity for businesses inside and outside the province to strengthen trade activities and connect the distribution of OCOP products in the national and international markets.
