Exciting National Unity Day in Vinh Bao district

On November 9th, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City attended the 2024 National Unity Day celebration in Dong Loi 2 village, Thang Thuy commune, Vinh Bao district.

Dong Loi 2 village currently has over 300 households with nearly 1,000 inhabitants. Thanks to the correct shift in agricultural structure, combined with effective production and business activities, the lives of the villagers have improved significantly. The average annual income of the people is approximately 86.4 million VND/person/year, an increase of more than 15% compared to 2023. The locality has no poor households; only 5 households are near-poor.

In recent years, Dong Loi 2 village has consistently been recognized as a "Cultural Village". The movement "All people unite to build a cultured life" has developed strongly. The percentage of households achieving the title of "Cultural Family" has reached over 98%. During the process of building a model new rural area, the people of Dong Loi 2 village have donated thousands of square meters of land to expand roads and build cultural facilities. Maintaining security, order, and social safety is ensured.

At the ceremony, the people of Dong Loi 2 village reviewed the glorious history and traditions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and building and protecting the Fatherland.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Vinh Bao District People's Committee presented the Decision recognizing Dong Loi 2 village as a "Cultural Village" in 2024. Many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the nationwide movement to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas in 2024 were commended and rewarded.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City, Dao Trong Duc, presented Certificates of Commendation to collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results in the nationwide movement to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas in 2024.

The Thang Thuy Commune "For the Poor" Fund Campaign Committee presented gifts to disadvantaged households and students who overcame difficulties to excel in their studies. Some households also received fire extinguishers to help improve the effectiveness of the fire safety model in the village.
